Nimmanhemin Road

Chiang Mai's version of Bangkok's hip Sukhumvit area is a mile-long strip west of the Old City. Cafés, pubs, bars, restaurants, discos (Warm Up is the most famous), art galleries, and chic boutiques line this street that's usually packed with students from the nearby Chiang Mai University. Spend time exploring the jumble of side streets off the main drag, where more restaurants, party places, and boutiques jostle for space.
