POINTS OF INTEREST
Sandwiched between the Old City and the riverside, this market opens for business around 6 pm. It's also, and confusingly, known as the Night Bazaar, though the evening portion technically goes by the name Night Market. Labels aside, more than 200 stalls—selling fake brands, knickknacks, and some goods worth checking out—line a half-mile section of Chang Klan Road. Some visitors find the scene tacky, commercial, or too much of a zoo, but others visitors find a trip here engaging, if only for the many food purveyors. The area is also a major nighttime entertainment zone. Loi Kroh Road, which bisects the market, is filled with bars where girls-for-hire outnumber customers.
