Getting Around

The sights in northern Kyoto are spread out and must be reached by a combination of train, bus, and cable car. It's best to make this a day trip to allow some time to explore Ohara and Hiei-zan. If you're booked on a tour to the Shugaku-in Imperial Villa on the same day, then you'll probably only have time to explore one or the other.
